Presented by Friends of Chappie with the volunteer support and cooperation of the Redding Black Sheep 4x4 Club.
Whether you’re a rock crawling enthusiast or just looking for a fun day outdoors, the Fall Crawl at Chappie-Shasta OHV Area is a great way to experience off-road action up close.
The Fall Crawl is a laid-back, community-driven event where local drivers test their rigs on challenging obstacle courses. You’ll see everything from built buggies to daily-driver trail rigs working their way through rocks, ledges, and climbs — all with plenty of cheering and spotter teamwork.
This isn’t a sanctioned pro competition like WE Rock — it’s a fun-run-style event focused on friendly competition, trail skills, and showing off what your rig (or your buddy’s rig) can do.
Chappie-Shasta OHV Area offers a lovely campground.

We love seeing families, off-road clubs, and newcomers enjoying the event. Grab some food, check out the rigs, and make a day of it at one of Northern California’s best OHV areas.
Be sure to follow Friends of Chappie on Facebook for event updates, photos, and more. We’ll post pictures after the crawl — tag yourself and share the fun!
