Who We Are
Friends of Chappie is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to protecting and maintaining the Chappie-Shasta Off-Highway Vehicle Area near Shasta Dam. We promote safe, responsible OHV use and partner with the Bureau of Land Management to restore trails, educate the public, and keep public lands open for future generations.

Recent Work At Chappie
Recent Work At Chappie
In Spring 2024, we partnered with the BLM and local 4x4 groups to restore a section of Trail 16 affected by erosion. Volunteers installed drainage features and removed over 500 pounds of debris. Todate, we have planted over 300 trees.
